Throughout her life in active ministry, Sister Elizabeth Ann served as a teacher, principal, and director of religious education programs for children and adults. Sister Caryl was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Juanita (Nicolai) Makaroff; brothers-in-law, Adam Shewchuk and Arthur Harwig. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on November 3, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She is survived by her sisters Mary Alice Schleicher and Elizabeth Karls and by the Sisters of St. Agnes, with whom she lived, prayed and ministered. Today,Frankis happily reunited in heaven with thelove of his lifeof nearly 56 years,Patricia, who preceded him in death in 2010. Sister Michaela was preceded in death by her parents James H. OBrien and Estelle Stack OBrien; her brothers Thomas OBrien and James OBrien; and her sisters Florence Flood, Helen Gellings, and Alice Michels. She entered St. Agnes Convent in August 1961. Burial will be in St. Joseph Springs Cemetery at a later date. In 1967, desiring a more contemplative lifestyle, Sister Ann worked at the Renewal Center of the University of Steubenville, Steubenville, Ohio, serving as Director of Retreats and offering counseling part-time.
